Hello friends and followers! This is my personal list of things for which to be thankful as Thanksgiving approaches. I strive to keep these things at the front of my mind throughout the year, but they are especially appropriate during the holidays. As we all rush, rush, rush to get dinners prepared/shopping done/decorations hung/gifts wrapped/everyone where they need to be, a moment to take stock and give thanks is especially fulfilling.

For the love of family and friends
For the strength to look forward and not stay stuck in the past
For the grace to love in the face of hostility
For the empowerment of accepting our true selves
For the peace that comes from simple forgiveness
For the optimism of each sunrise
For the hope that those we love will love us back
For the courage to do what's right even when we are misunderstood
For the first flakes of winter snow
For warm beach sand between our toes
For a place to lay our heads and rest
For enough to eat
For clothes to keep us warm on a cold winter day
For laughter to remind us that we should live joyously

For the beauty that surrounds us daily...
